Affiliate disclosure

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Prepared, not active yet

We are not yet a member of the Amazon Associates Program or any other affiliate program, and no product link on this site is an affiliate link today. When an application is approved, this box is replaced by the required statement, e.g. for Amazon: "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases."

The short version

Dept. of Dogs plans to earn money through affiliate links. If you click a product button marked as a gear pick and buy something, the store may pay us a small commission. It costs you nothing extra.

How to spot them

Product buttons on RANK IT pages and quiz results ("Check price on…") will be affiliate links once live. Until then they show "Coming soon" and go nowhere.
Affiliate links are marked in code with rel="sponsored", and we'll always mention them near the product.
On TikTok, we'll disclose paid partnerships and affiliate links in line with TikTok's rules and the FTC's Endorsement Guides.

Our picks

Gear picks are our own opinion. No brand pays us to be ranked, and if that ever changes, the post will be clearly labeled as sponsored. Prices and availability are set by the retailer and can change. Check the retailer's page before you buy.
